No. PEIDoctor Occupational Health provides employer-requested occupational-health and other eligible uninsured services. It is not a private primary-care clinic and does not replace an employee's regular insured healthcare.
The employer requesting the assessment is billed for the service. Services are billed when used, and corporate invoicing can be arranged for Employer Occupational Health Accounts.
Generally, no. Employers receive functional and occupational information relevant to the workplace question — such as restrictions, work status and duration of limitations — rather than a specific diagnosis, unless it is directly relevant to answering the occupational question.
No. The scope of disclosure depends on the purpose of the assessment, applicable law, professional obligations and employee consent. Employers do not routinely receive the complete medical chart, unrelated diagnoses, unrelated medications or unrelated medical history.

No. Payment does not guarantee a particular medical opinion, clearance, restriction, referral, treatment or outcome. Findings are based solely on the physician's independent clinical assessment.
This depends on the type of assessment, clinical appropriateness and employee location. Our team will confirm the appropriate format when a referral is reviewed.
Timelines depend on physician availability and the nature of the occupational question. Most employers hear back about scheduling within one business day of submitting a request.
PEIDoctor Occupational Health currently serves Prince Edward Island employers. The service is designed to expand across Atlantic Canada, and additional provinces will be published here as they become available.
Employer and employee medical forms are completed and reviewed through our partner service, Form5.ca, rather than through the occupational assessment process described on this site.
